Timeline

Below is the timeline for Competitive Scholarships. The awarding of National Scholarships and Assured Scholarships does not follow a set timeline. Rather, the review of your record for National Scholarships and Assured Scholarships begins at the point at which you are admitted to Texas State. If you meet the minimum eligibility requirements for a National Scholarship and/or Assured Scholarship, an award letter from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be mailed to you shortly after you are admitted to Texas State.

2009-2010 Competitive Scholarships Timeline
Date	Event
September 15, 2008	Scholarship application is available online
December 1, 2008	Scholarship application submission deadline. This deadline is also the date by which applicants must be admitted to Texas State in order to be considered for Competititve Scholarships
Early-January, 2009	Invitations are mailed for the Texas State Scholars Days. If invited, you must provide three letters of recommndations shortly after January 1.
Late-January, 2009	Deadline to R.S.V.P. for Texas State Scholars Days.
February 9 & 12, 2009	Texas State Scholars Days.
Mid-February, 2009	Begin final review of applications for university-wide scholarships (i.e., Terry Foundation Scholarships, McCoy Scholarships, etc.).
Early-March/Late-February, 2009	Applications are distributed to colleges (e.g., College of Science, College of Liberal Arts, etc.) for college and departmental scholarship consideration.
April 1-June 1, 2009	Scholarship award letters will be mailed beginning April 1 and will continue through June 1.
Mid-April, 2009	Terry Foundation Scholarship interviews are conducted. Those finalists selected for the Terry Foundation Scholarship will be notified by the Foundation following the interviews.
