Transfer - Achievement Scholarship

Overview

The Texas State Transfer Achievement Scholarship is a one-time scholarship is awarded on the basis of a student’s academic credentials (e.g., cumulative transfer GPA and transferable hours).

To be eligible for this award, you must apply and be admitted as an incoming transfer student in the upcoming fall term by submitting an admission application via ApplyTexas and submitting all official college transcripts. A scholarship application is not required.

This scholarship is competitively awarded to incoming transfer students admitted to Texas State by March 1, 2018. If you are a nonresident receiving a Competitive Scholarship of at least $1,000 per year, you may also qualify to pay the in-state tuition rate.


Average Award Amount

  • Ranges from $500 to $2,000

Eligibility Criteria

  • 3.5 cumulative transfer GPA
  • Complete 24 minimum transferable hours*
    • Transferable hours must be post high school credit hours at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution.

Please Note: Any scholarship or combination of scholarships awarded by Texas State cannot exceed the cost of attendance
