If you are encountering problems when attempting to use the Financial Aid Document Uploader, you may want to try using a different Internet browser.  

Accepted File Types

We’re glad you’re using the Financial Aid Document Uploader to help complete your financial aid file. To ensure document integrity and facilitate our processing of your documents as quickly as possible, the uploading of files is limited to the below file types. If you would prefer not to use the upload functionality, you can submit your documents by mail.


These file types are usually created by most scanners when scanning documents to your computer.


Some scanners and many copy machines allow you to scan documents as a PDF. 

To determine if your scanner creates such file types, check online with the manufacturer of your scanner.

Available Scanner Resources

If you do not have a scanner available, you may be able to find one to use at one of the following locations:

On Campus

  • Alkek Library has scanners located on the third and fourth floors
  • Clicks Cafe, located on the first floor of the LBJ Student Center
  • ASB 201

As a friendly reminder, please scan each type of document separately and only upload that document to the applicable requirement. Do not upload documents that do not belong to the listed requirement as this action may cause technical errors and delay the processing of your file. For example, if there is a requirement for the Verification Worksheet, only upload the Verification Worksheet (and not a tax transcript or W-2) to that requirement.

Off Campus / Community

If you are looking for a place off campus to use a scanner, you may want to check with your local library. Also, most copy centers offer scanning as part of their paid services for a nominal fee.
