Texas State offers a variety of academic scholarships for transfer students. If you are admitted to Texas State as a transfer student and meet the Assured Admission standards, you may apply for competitive scholarships through the Bobcat Online Scholarship System (BOSS).
Awards are based on the overall strength of your scholarship application. Scholarships are awarded in the fall. The scholarship application deadline is March 1, prior to your first summer/fall semester.
College and Departmental Scholarships
Some scholarships are awarded by a specific college or academic departments. These scholarships may require a different application outside of BOSS. For information regarding scholarships awarded by your college or academic department, be sure to visit their scholarship web-page. You may also contact the appropriate dean and/or chair’s office.
To learn more about these scholarships, visit the college and departmental scholarships page.
Not from Texas?
You could still qualify for resident tuition
If you qualify for at least $1,000 in Texas State competitive or merit scholarships, you may receive a nonresident tuition waiver (granting you Texas resident tuition for the same period covered by your scholarship).
If qualified, the department that awarded you the scholarship will complete the appropriate nonresident tuition waiver form.
